Kitsu describes the costume in her own words: "I obtained this costume by winning an auction through eBay. This costume was made by the ever-so-talented Chloe 'Setsuna Kou'. Her costumes are well known in the anime/internet world. Visit her page to see the costumes she can make! This costume is a replica of the one worn in the Sailor Moon Musicals in Japan (otherwise known as SeraMyu). The character is, of course, Sailor Neptune (some people thought I was Jupiter -_-; obviously not orientated with the Japanese Sailor Moon series)." |

"The collar and the overskirt are made from teal taffeta. The bodice is made from white lycra and the underskirt is blue satin with silver. Teal satin was used for the sleeves and tons of faux crystals were glued to them. Gold crepe ribbon was used to accent the costume all over. The front and back bow are made out of metallic blue lycra. The choker is made from teal taffeta, outlined with gold ribbon, with a charm in the centre and the tiara is made from gold ribbon with a faux teal jewel in the centre. I used hair clips to keep it in place, well hidden in my hair. I also wore a pair of gold starburst clip-on earrings which had teal jewels on them as well." |

"The shoes were regular black pumps covered with the teal tafetta material in the criss-cross design Sailor Neptune wears. I wore my hair down, and attempted to use a wave enhanced pomade but it only seemed to give my hair a 'wet' look and it flattened my hair even more. I am still looking for the right wig to use for the costume but so far, I haven't found one. I wore pantyhose with a sheen to it. I added pins to keep the back bow down, and moved the velcro on the left shoe slightly to fit better. All in all, this costume is gorgeous!!! Thank You Chloe!!!" |
