Jessie describes her costume:

"Minako-chan is my absolute favorite anime character, and it was only natural that I work my rear off to have my first costume done in her likeness. The Sailor top was constructed from a store-brought white shirt (With the pockets removed) with blue fabric sewn to the top to make the collar. The white stripes were used for a dual purpose, as they also covered the horrid stitching job of mine. The red tie was made from simple red fabric, tied in a knot; seperate from the top, like a man's tie, only not. The red bow was a leftover Christmas tree ornament, and the wig was originally a "1960's hippee" wig, which was trimmed and styled to fit my purposes. The socks and shoes were both store-brought (It took me FOREVER to find those shoes!), and the skirt was sewn for me by a kind neighbor."
