Miko as Eternal Sailor Saturn in a costume made by her friend Lita.

Why she made this costume:

"C'mon, hasn't everyone made a sailor fuku at one time or another? Alright, maybe not, but chars from Sailor Moon seem to be really popular to cosplay. My friend told me I'd look good as Saturn and I thought the eternal outfits looked the cutest. And after seeing a pic of Sailor Saturn, I fell in love with her Silence Glaive! *_*"

How this costume was made:

"My friend, Lita, made the entire costume for me. Since the sailor fuku patterns were discontinued when my costume was made, we used a cheerleader pattern instead. Then the bows and collar were sketched on newspaper and that was our pattern. With most of my other costumes, satin was used for all the parts except for the bodice, which was made from a cotton-like material. Lita made shoe covers that originally went to the Supers outfit. Later, I rented white boots and added the purple parts with painted wood stars."

"The Silence Glaive was very difficult to make. The first design was made from styrofoam that was cut and painted, then placed on top of my old colorguard stick. Since that broke by the end of Halloween night, a new one was made, this time out of wood. My dad spent a week carving the wood to give it the right shape. Then it was spray painted with silver metallic paint. Unfortunately, this version of the staff broke in my hotel room, before any pictures were taken. (Note: The one pic I have was taken at home as soon as it was made. It's the only picture in existence.)"
A lovely costume and a lovely (and tragically short lived) glaive.
